Sarah Douglas is a professional dog groomer from the San Francisco Bay Area and is a member of Foxy Roxy's Pro Team. She has been grooming for 12 years and previously worked in the veterinary field before finding her passion for grooming. She started out working for corporate salons and worked her way into currently managing a private salon in San Mateo, California. She is currently a registered member of the National Dog Groomer’s Association as well as the California Professional Pet Groomer’s Association. Her current goals are to eventually get into the competition ring and start teaching other groomers to help them improve and succeed in their careers.

1. VOGUE
The vogues have been my go to curve for years, they’re perfect for faces and rounding paws, especially on those grinchy toes! The curve is perfect for topknots and bracelets as well. The drop handle is perfect for comfort and balance.

2. FLOURISH
Easily one of my most used straight shears, I love these bad boys for standard poodles and large doodles. Flourish also has a drop handle which helps me keep my hand steady and achieve a crisp finish when doing a full body hand scissor. The length is perfect for those long legs.

3. NIGHT FOX
I designed these shears with the idea of creating a thinner that would be aggressive but still leave a soft natural finish. I love these for fine detail on faces like inner eye corners or a rounded muzzle. They also work really well to blur and smooth out clipper lines or bulk thinning all over.

4. RAZZLE
Curved thinners are a game changer! Especially on really soft coats that show every scissor mark. I use my Razzles on nearly every face to blend the jawline or soften the visor. The curved thinner makes it nearly effortless. I find they are also very useful when trimming ears as well to avoid straight across lines and leave a more natural shape.

5. CHARDONNAY
These chunkers are the perfect size, they are a must have for Pomeranians, aussies, Shelties, etc. The teeth are perfectly spaced and remove just the right amount of hair without leaving harsh lines. I find I have better control over shorter chunkers and these allow me to maneuver easier around while doing all over outline trims.
